Today, China Association of Metros (CAMET) released the announced list of 2020 “Urban Rail Transit Science and Technology Progress Award” to be granted. Two technological innovation achievements, including the “Key Technologies and Complete Sets of Equipment and Demonstration Applications of Interoperable CBTC Featuring Network-based Operation” (hereinafter referred to as the “Interoperable CBTC”), jointly declared by Traffic Control Technology Co., Ltd. (“TCT”), Chongqing Rail Transit (Group) Co., Ltd., Beijing Jiaotong University and other organizations, and the “Urban Rail Transit Cloud Platform Innovation Research and Application” (hereinafter referred to as “Urban Rail Cloud”), jointly declared by Hohhot Metro Co., Ltd., China Railway Design Corporation and other organizations, successfully stood out and became shortlisted. Of the two, “Interoperable CBTC” became the only achievement shortlisted for the special prize, and the "Urban Rail cloud" for the first prize.

Established by China Association of Metros (“CAMET”), the Urban Rail Transit Science and Technology Progress Award is designed to commend scientific and technological workers and organizations for their significant contributions to China’s urban rail transit technology innovation. It was officially included in the Social Science and Technology Award Catalogue issued by the National Office for Science and Technology Awards in 2019 and has become an important science and technology award in China’s urban rail transit field. During this evaluation, CAMET received a total of 116 achievements application materials. Upon level-by-level review and evaluation, one special prize, 11 first prizes and 15 second prizes were finally selected for announcement.

At this time, the "interoperable CBTC" and "urban rail cloud" of TCT were shortlisted for the special prize and the first prize respectively. This proves not only the company's continuous independent innovation strength, but also the recognition of CAMET and industry peers towards the company’s contribution to innovative development of the industry through independent innovation.

In the future, TCT will continue to adhere to the technical route of independent innovation and follow the Outline for the Development of Smart Urban Rail Transit in China to draw a blueprint. By focusing on digitalization, intelligence, and networking, it will deepen the integration of 5G + AICDE and other new technologies with rail transit, and make a further breakthrough in the key technologies of urban rail transit, enhance the independent technological innovation capability, and work with industry partners to build a Chinese rail transit industry with independent intellectual property rights and competitive advantages in the market, and assist China to facilitate the "14th Five-Year Plan" construction and create more brilliance.
