Luoyang, known as millennial imperial capital city and peony city, painted a brilliant picture in history on March 28, 2021. The Subway Line 1 equipped with the upgraded CBTC system customized by Traffic Control Technology Co., Ltd. (“TCT”) in combination with the characteristics of Luoyang city was successfully opened, marking that Luoyang has officially entered the subway era. This is also the first line opened in a non-capital city in the central and western regions of China.
Luoyang Subway Line 1 has 19 stations, with a total length of 25.342 km and an average distance between stations of 1.38 km. It will undertake the task of passenger flow transportation in the northern area of the city. As an important channel for easing the traffic congestion in Luoyang, this line will provide a huge convenience for the travel of Luoyang citizens, effectively promote social and economic development of the city, and means a lot for the development of the public transportation of the city.
In response to the requirements proposed by Luoyang Subway Co., Ltd. (“Luoyang Subway”), TCT, as an integrated signal system supplier, has improved the overall automation level and capacity of the CBTC system and formed a customized ATO + solutions with Luoyang characteristics, providing a safe and reliable “brain of control” for Luoyang Subway Line 1.
ATO + can not only meet the requirements for various performance indicators of CBTC, but also realize autonomous driving on the operating lines, such as unmanned train operation, automatic access to depots, automatic vehicle cleaning, automatic fault recovery, automatic input or withdrawal of trains based on passenger flow, etc. While improving operating efficiency, it also effectively improves the safety and comfort of passengers.
During the phase of project startup, TCT actively communicated with Luoyang Subway, discovered in depth the actual requirements of operations, and rapidly customized and developed the ATO + system solution with distinguished characteristics based on its accumulation of core, independent CBTC and FAO technologies. This solution has fully solved the pain points in users’ requirements, met the automatic operation requirements of Luoyang Subway Line 1. Once again, it proves the strong customized development and implementation capabilities of TCT.
During the project construction period, the project team of TCT, undered the strong support, unified deployment and coordination of Luoyang Subway, overcame the challenges of severe epidemic prevention situation, shortened construction period and complex construction environment, etc. High-standard epidemic prevention management, meticulous deployment, concerted efforts and solid work have guaranteed the successful opening of Luoyang Subway Line 1 as scheduled.
