Afternoon of November 12, the fifth Research and Seminar on Shift2Rail Innovation Initiative was held in the multifunctional area of Traffic Control Technology Headquarters Building. The theme of this seminar is to build a one-stop MaaS travel. The speaker Wang Renwen shared the background and meaning of IP4, user-oriented functions, interoperability framework, business analysis platform and MaaS survey summary.

During the interactive communication session, everyone had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the understanding of MaaS, the original intention and significance of MaaS and other issues. The conclusions of this seminar are as follows:

(1)   As a new type of transportation concept, MaaS has received widespread attention and has become a new trend in transportation services.

(2)   Existing research is more inclined to demand-side optimization, adopting customized and personalized travel plans to enhance the competitiveness of transportation services and public transportation. At the same time, higher requirements are put forward for the reliability of supply-side transportation services and the flexibility of scheduling.

(3)   In the development process of the project, the responsibilities and objectives are clear. According to the importance of the task, the main project and auxiliary projects are divided and implemented in phases.

(4)   Stations are an important part of rail transit, and there is a higher demand for new technologies. They are combined with the MaaS travel concept to provide passengers with more convenient travel services.
