Background
Urban rail transit develops rapidly with complex environments; risk accidents caused by intrusions into line clearancesoccur frequently; and high-speed trains face delayed response times in emergencies. These are making the replacement of "human protection" with "technical protection"a prevailing trend. The system is crucial for supporting operational perception and safety, serving as a core technology for fully automated driving.
IEC 62267 defines normative requirements for fully automated trains, and the group standard "Urban Rail Transit Trian Operation Safety Monitoring System Part 3: Obstacle Detection System"issued by the China Association of Metros provides specific technical guidance for system development.
