The total length of the road is 3.5 km, among which 0.865 km is the tunnel section. The storage line is extended by approximately 0.517 km. The maximum line speed is 80 km/h. The total length of the AEL and TCL connecting lines is 4.365 km, and the maximum line speed is 135 km/h. The DRL trains are parked and maintained at the Siu Ho Wan Depot (SHD). Part of the AEL line shares the same track with the TCL main line, serving as the interconnection track for the DRL trains to enter and exit the SHD.
Disney renovation project: Adopting the new generation PB-TACS system will significantly improve the system throughput, system availability, reliability and maintainability.
● Equipment Deployment and Space Utilization: In the station equipment room, ATS and DCS equipment cabinets are centrally deployed. ZC and CI equipment are removed. RC and TMC use miniaturized platforms to form an integrated cabinet. The transfer cabinet is custom-designed to make full use of space. After the transformation, the relevant equipment is removed.
● Trackside equipment reuse and layout: The trackside signal machines and switch machines reuse the existing equipment. The balises of the new system are arranged at the designed intervals. The axle counter equipment is installed away from the existing system to avoid interfering with the operation.
● System function innovation: Continuously innovate by integrating the experience of the MTR Corporation to enhance the levels of intelligence, energy conservation, and operation and maintenance management. Examples include ATS automatic train diagram adjustment, ITE intelligent train perception, wireless communication monitoring and fault prediction, Chat GPT maintenance support, and rail skid detection and prediction.
● Communication guarantee: For wireless network communication, two modes of WLAN (red and blue networks) + 5G public network are adopted. In case of a failure of either mode, the system can still maintain the train's operation at the CBTC level using the other mode.
● Standards and Systems: The system meets 15 international standards, and the DQG-200 reverse switching cabinet reaches SIL4 level. The project establishes a complete rail transit software development life cycle document system in accordance with EN 50128.
