New start for scientific and technological innovation: TCT creates a new record of five lines operation in five cities within four days

Ten-year hard working, harvesting the fruit now. In 2019, Traffic Control Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "TCT", 688015, SH) welcomed the tenth anniversary of its establishment. In this year, TCT successfully listed on the science and technology innovation board, became one of the first batch of companies listed on the science and technology innovation board, obtained the recognition of capital market with independent innovation, realized a milestone leap; delivered seven domestic lines, and the market share of self-developed signal system has been among the best in China in the past three years. Especially in the last four days of 2019, TCT strongly supported the successful operation of Chengdu Metro Line 5 (December 27), Guiyang Rail Transit Line 1 (December 28), Beijing Subway Line 7 (Phase II) (December 28), Hohhot Metro Line 1 (December 29) and Chongqing Rail Transit Loop Line (Southwest Loop) (December 30), which fully proves the strong centralized delivery capacity of company.

More importantly, the seven lines delivered and operated in this year also created many national and even world leading feats. For example, Hohhot Metro Line 1 is the first cloud metro line in China to use ATS (automatic train supervision); Chongqing Rail Transit Loop Line is a major demonstration project of interconnectivity of NDRC and solves the world-class critical problem of interconnectivity; Daxing Airport Express becomes the world-leading full-automatic operation line of urban rail transit with the maximum operation speed of 160km/h.

Chengdu Metro Line 5: the line with the longest mileage and the largest number of stations opened at a time

On December 27, Chengdu Metro Line 5 was formally put into operation and became the line with the longest mileage (49.02km) and the largest number of stations (41 stations) opened at a time. Moreover, the operation of Chengdu Metro Line 5 makes the total mileage of Chengdu Metro exceed 300km.

As the main traffic line running through the north and south of Chengdu, Chengdu Metro Line 5 becomes the first "8A" vehicle formation line in central and western China due to the large passenger capacity, with the seating capacity of 2,480 persons and the maximum passenger capacity of 3,456 persons, which greatly improves the traffic volume of line.

In addition, TCT also incorporates engineering vehicle into signal system in the project of Chengdu Metro Line 5. The system has the function of CBTC-ATP, not only can increase the traveling speed from 60km/h to 80km/h, but also can operate together with passenger vehicles, thereby ensuring the safety of engineer vehicles and passenger vehicles and greatly improving the working efficiency.

Guiyang Rail Transit Line 1 was opened and met the operation index requirement in advance

On December 28, Guiyang Rail Transit Line 1 (Douguan Station) was opened, which marks that all the 25 stations of the first rail transit line of Guiyang were connected.

It is reported that motor car commissioning of Douguan Section includes 55 commissioning points, and backbone network and outdoor equipment shall be connected reversely for each commissioning. After overcoming so many difficulties and challenges, TCT staff completed all commissioning tasks, met the operation index requirement in advance and ensured the successful opening of line. As the smooth operation of first train, Guiyang Rail Transit Line 1 in the full length of 35.1km realizes whole line connection and further met the traffic demand of passengers.

Beijing Subway Line 7 (Phase II): complete signal commissioning in 60 days

Beijing Subway Line 7 (Phase II) opened on the same day of Guiyang Rail Transit Line 1, is the eastern extension line of Line 7 (important backbone line in the east-west direction of south Beijing), with the full length of 16.6km and radiating Chaoyang District and Tongzhou District.

The signal commissioning period for Line 7 (Phase II) is only 60 days. TCT has to complete the commissioning of all single-vehicle, multi-vehicle and multi-vehicle running chart of the whole line within 60 days, and there are 115 commissioning points. At last, TCT completed all commissioning tasks successfully.

The above achievement not only due to the hardworking of all site commissioning staff, but also owe to the “integrated, high-demand-fitness, modular, standard and replicable” CBTC signal system of Line 7, all interfaces are transparent and open, which provides favorable conditions for the system transformation, upgrading and commissioning.

Hohhot Metro Line 1: the first clouding metro in China

On December 29, Hohhot Metro Line 1 was formally put into operation, becoming the first ATS clouding metro line in China and starting the clouding times of urban rail transit.

It is reported that ATS clouding means ATS stored in cloud, which can greatly save the calculation, storage and processing resources and effectively solve the problem that each station should be equipped with station-level server and terminal under the traditional system architecture.

According to the estimation of experts, “Urban rail cloud” project will achieve considerable benefits in Hohhot, increasing the resource utilization ratio by more than 50%, saving the preliminary investment by about 40%, saving the labor cost by more than 30%, increasing the whole platform safety by more than 80% through the safety system of “inter-net isolation and intra-net protection”, and improving the service reliability by more than 50% through the three-level guarantee mechanism of primary center, disaster recovery center and station cloud node.

However, ATS clouding of Hohhot Metro Line 1 is only the first step of urban rail cloud. TCT is making effort to create the line into national urban rail demonstration and excellent project and accelerate the coming of smart urban rail era.

In the future, TCT will take urban rail cloud as the basis, data analysis and management as the core and digital service as the interface, creating the smart urban rail era with new technologies such as 5G, IOT, big data and AI.

Chongqing Rail Transit Loop Line: Tackling with the world-class difficult problem of signal system interconnectivity

On December 30, Chongqing Rail Transit Loop Line (Southwest Loop) was opened. With the full length of 9.5km, the line has 5 stations: Xiejiawan Station, Olympic Sports Center Station, Chenjiaping Station, Caiyunhu Station and Erlang Station. After operation, the line will provide convenience for the travel of residents along the line and promote the social and economic development of surrounding area.

It should be more worthy of commending that Chongqing Rail Transit Loop Line equipped with the self-developed interconnectivity signal system of TCT becomes the major demonstration project of NRDC as well as the first application of urban rail transit signal system interconnectivity in China. As the technology leading party of this project, TCT leads three domestic signal manufacturers to solve the world-class critical problems of rail transit signal system interconnectivity. Under the leading of China Association of Metros, TCT has completed the formulation of signal system interconnectivity standard.

Urumqi Metro Line 1: the first metro line in Xinjiang

Fast backward to June 28, as the first line of TCT opened in this year, the opening of Urumqi Metro Line 1 (South Section) not only marks the full line opening of the first urban rail transit line of Urumqi and Xinjiang, but also marks that Xinjiang has entered the era of rail transit.

With the full length of about 27.615km, the whole Urumqi Metro Line 1 is underground and includes 21 stations. Besides, Urumqi Metro Line 1 is also the first urban rail transit line of TCT in alpine region. The successful opening and stable operation of line fully proves the capacity of TCT signal equipment in very low temperature.

“World-leading” Daxing Airport Express

On September 26, Daxing Airport Express was opened. As an important traffic mode connecting Daxing International Airport with Beijing downtown, Daxing Airport Express undoubtedly carries a great hope of people. According to the operating condition since opening, Daxing Airport Express can meet the fast and convenient transportation needs of passengers to and from Daxing International Airport.

For this, TCT makes its own contributions in independent innovation. Due to the adoption of self-developed interconnectivity full-automatic operation system of TCT, the operating speed of Daxing Airport Express can be up to 160km/h, becoming the fastest full-automatic operation line of urban rail transit, realizing the transformation of full automatic operation system from “following” to “leading” compared with the international counterparts and laying a solid foundation for the four-network integration of city, metro, high-speed railway and inter-city in the future.

The successful opening of different lines and multiple technology leading cannot be realized without the continuous effort of TCT in independent innovation. Owing to the persistence of so many independent innovation enterprises like TCT, China could obtain more and more speaking rights in relevant fields of world stage. In the future, TCT will be committed to empowering rail transit with new technologies such as 5G+AICDE (AI, IOT, cloud platform, big data and edge computing) based on the quickly-developed rail transit system, constantly carry out intergenerational iteration and assist Chinese rail transit system to achieve international leadership.
